Call Waiting with Caller ID

See who's calling... even when you're on the other line!

Don't want to be interrupted during a call? Call Waiting with Caller ID, or Call Waiting ID, lets you choose what calls to take. Call Waiting ID works with your phones Caller ID so you can see who's calling when you're already on the phone. You decide if you want to answer the call or let it go straight to voicemail.

How to Use Call Waiting with Caller ID

When a call comes in while you're on the other line, you'll hear a "beep." As long as you have a phone with a Caller ID display, you can see who's calling. If you feel like answering, press the flash button or switch hook. To return to your previous call, just press that flash button or switch hook again.

To turn off Call Waiting:

  • 1. Log on to your Vonage Online Account
  • 2. Click on the "Features" link
  • 3. In "Call Waiting," select the line you don't want Call Waiting with Caller ID on
  • 4. Click on the "Configure" button
  • 5. For "Call Waiting Status," select "Off." To turn off Call Waiting with Caller ID for a single call, just dial *70 before you dial the number
