Call Waiting

With Call Waiting, you never have to miss an important call.

Call Waiting lets you put one call on hold to answer another. Don't feel like answering the other line? Don't worry, just let the call go to voicemail and respond at your convenience.

How to Use Call Waiting

When a call comes in while you're on the other line, you'll hear a "beep" to notify you there is a phone call waiting. If you feel like answering the waiting call, press the flash button or switch hook. To return to your previous call, just press that flash button or switch hook again.

To turn off Call Waiting:

  • 1. Log on to your Vonage Online Account
  • 2. Click on the "Features" link
  • 3. In "Call Waiting," select the line you don't want Call Waiting on
  • 4. Click on the "Configure" button
  • 5. For "Call Waiting Status," select "Off." To turn off Call Waiting for a single call, just dial *70 before you dial the number
