You can listen to your voicemail messages from any phone or by logging on to your Vonage Online Account. You can also get an email with an audio file attached, so you can listen to your voicemail messages from your PC - anytime you want.
Out of the office or on vacation? Vonage Voicemail Plus makes it easy to record personal greetings. You can schedule them for certain days of the week or a specific day of the year. Turn them on and off, whenever you want! Just in the office twice a week? Schedule an alternate voicemail greeting for only these days.
Vonage Voicemail Plus puts you in control of your voicemail.
First Time Voicemail Access
To access your voicemail for the first time perform the following steps:
- From your Vonage line, dial




- Enter 1234, the temporary password/PIN.
- Enter a new password/PIN when prompted (4 to 15 digits in length).
- Enter the new password/PIN again to confirm.
- Press
to accept or
to start over.
You will then be prompted to perform the following:
- Record your name announcement
- Record a personal greeting - Your Voicemail greeting may be up to one minute long.
- Press
to keep the default greeting.
- Personalizing your greeting will replace the default greeting.
- You will then be prompted to set your language options:
NOTE: Press
to accept changes or
to start over.
- Select your first language
- For English, press
immediately after prompt for English
- For French, press
immediately after prompt for French
- Select your second language
- Press
when prompted for English or French
- Do not press
if you are not selecting a second language
- Press
to confirm your language option

to redo your options or
to cancel
From Any Vonage Phone
To check Voicemail from any Vonage phone, perform the following steps:
- From the Vonage number you wish to check voicemail messages:
- Dial




- Enter your password/PIN when prompted.
- From a different Vonage line:
- Dial




- Press
. Enter the 11-digit Vonage phone number for the mailbox you want to access.
- Enter your password/PIN.
NOTE: You may wish to use a Vonage Local Access Number when accessing voicemail from a number that charges a toll for the call.
Using a Vonage Local Access Number (from Vonage & non-Vonage lines)
A Voicemail Local Access Number gives you access to your voicemail from a remote location by providing you with a telephone number local to your area. You can also use a Local Access Number to leave a voicemail for another Vonage customer without directly calling that person.
We supply Local Access Numbers across the US, UK, and Canada.
- Select the country for which you would like a Voicemail Local Access Number.
- Select your remote location area code.
NOTE: The Local Access Numbers will be displayed.
- Dial the Local Access Number.
- Press
at the password/PIN prompt.
- Enter your mailbox number.
NOTE: The mailbox number is the full 11 digit Vonage Phone Number for the mailbox you want to access.
- Enter the password/PIN
Accessing your messages from your Vonage Online Account:
- Log on to your Vonage Online Account
- Click on the "Voicemail" link
- On the "Current Phone Number" drop-down list, select the line you want to check messages for
To activate voicemail email notification:
- Log on to your Vonage Online Account
- Click on the "Voicemail" link
- In "Voicemail Settings," select the line you want to receive email or text message notifications for
- Click on the "Voicemail Email Notification" link
To receive just the audio file:
- Click on the "Enable Voicemail Attachments" button
- Enter up to 5 email addresses you want to receive notification on
- Click on the "Save" button
To receive basic notification with the date and time of the call and the caller's phone number:
- Click on the "Enable Voicemail Email Notification" button
- Click on the "Save" button
To turn off notification:
- Click on the "Disable Notification" button
- Click on the "Save" button
To manage your language option:
- Dial *123 from your Vonage phone
- Press 9 for Setup Options
- Press 8 to change your language options
- Follow the prompts to make your changes
To manage your personal voicemail greeting:
- Dial *123 from your Vonage phone
- Press 9 for Setup Options
- Press 1 for Mailbox Setup and Greetings
To record your personal voicemail greeting:
- Press 2 for Normal and Extended Absence Greetings
- Press 2 to Record Your Greeting
- Record your greeting
- Press # to accept, 1 to replay, 2 to rerecord, 3 to mark as an Extended Absence Greeting, * to cancel, or 0 for help
To delete your personal voicemail greeting:
- Press 4 for Delete Greetings
- Press 1 to delete your Normal Greeting or 2 to delete your Extended Absence Greeting
To schedule your greeting for the rest of the day:
- Press 3 for Scheduled Personal Greetings
- Press 2 for Record Greetings
- Press 2 for your second greeting or 3 for your third greeting
- Record your greeting
- Press # to accept or * to rerecord
- Press 3 for Greetings Override
- Press 1 to schedule your greeting for the rest of the day
