Mark Dunn, our Head of Corporate Sales, will be getting on his bike next month to tackle ‘Nelson’s Tour de Test Valley’. Together with a few other colleagues and family members, he will tackle 100 miles of the Test Valley, amongst the spectacular scenery of the Hampshire countryside.
The event will support CALM, a charity which exists to prevent male suicide in the UK by providing support to men who are down or in crisis. Suicide accounted for the deaths of more young men in England & Wales in 2011 than road death, murder and HIV/AIDs combined.
Mark decided to take part in order to revere the memory of his friend Nelson (the event carries his name), a keen cyclist who sadly passed away last summer.
Mark, who is feeling confident about enduring the seven hour challenge, explained, “Having my family and friends cycling next to me will be a real support and will make the experience even more special”.
Mark aims to raise £2,000, supported by NewVoiceMedia’s charitable foundation GivingVoice – and will gratefully receive all donations, large and small, through his Virgin Money page.
We wish Mark good luck and extra strong legs!Find out more about NewVoiceMedia’s GivingVoice Foundation.
