A Bridge Too Far? Our Team Take on the Thames Bridge Bike Ride.

At NewVoiceMedia we encourage our team members to involve themselves in volunteer work and fundraising. As part of our commitment we will match any funding that our team members achieve.

On Sunday 13th May three of our team members completed the Thames Bridges bike ride in London. They cycled the 33 miles, crossing almost all the bridges from Tower Bridge to Hampton Court Bridge.

Fundraising for the Stroke Association (@thestrokeassoc), the team consisted of Beth Ayers, Director of Strategy, Chris Haggis, Technical consultant, and Rahi Rahman, Senior Software Engineer.

Cycling in great weather the team managed to complete the course in around 4 hours. A great achievement especially considering they had not trained together before the ride.

Team leader Chris Haggis said, “We had a beautiful day for the ride, its a great way to see London and of course has a dual benefit of raising money for the Stroke Association. The organisers did a fantastic job providing plenty of marshals so we didn’t get lost and keeping everyone safe. Thanks to everyone who sponsored us and those who took part.”

The team managed to raise £365.00 which the company has doubled to take the overall total to £730.00. A fantastic achievement!
