The Vonage Video API uses data centres located around the world to provide a global reach. However, when finer control over media routing is required, Video API Regional Media Zones (RMZs) are available in various locations in the world and are arranged to match the compliance requirements of the specific region.

How it Works
When an RMZ is enabled, media and signalling traffic is hosted in data centres that are located within that zone and failover takes place within the zone.
